Good News Club® (GNC) is a school-year ministry of Child Evangelism Fellowship in which trained teachers meet with groups of children in schools, homes, community centers, churches, apartment complexes, just about anywhere the children can easily and safely meet (with parental permission). Each week the teacher presents an exciting Bible lesson using colorful materials from CEF Press. This action-packed time also includes songs, Scripture memory, a missions story and review games or other activities focused on the lesson’s theme.
Good News Club is intended to function as a program and extension of local church ministry. No two GNCs look exactly the same, and we encourage churches and GNC leaders to be creative with their club and make it their own. GNC training and materials can easily be incorporated into an activities-based ministry, and we invite Christians who have kid-friendly skills and interests to integrate them into their GNC to create new and exciting ways of connecting with kids in their local schools and communities.
Each GNC must have at least two (2) adult leaders, but there is no limit to the number of additional volunteers. GNC teachers must attend a GNC training prior starting their club, though non-teaching volunteers, while encouraged to attend, are not required to do so. There’s many roles within a GNC, and we invite Christian teens and adults of all ages, abilities, and experiences to prayerfully consider being a part of a local GNC.
